FAQ
I don't see the point of maintaining a DPF.
To postpone its maintenance is to lose money.
Like an oil, air or diesel filter, the particulate filter requires periodic maintenance. Failure to do so may generate the following consequences:
- a legal risk (pollutant emission threshold exceeded);
- a gradual derating of the engine which can bring the vehicle to a halt;
- engine overload resulting in excess fuel consumption;
- a risk of pollution of the surrounding parts which could lead to their replacement.
I don't see the difference between cleaning and remanufacturing.
Remanufacturing involves more operations and checks than just cleaning, to make sure the truck is performing optimally.
There are many alternatives on the market but:
- they sometimes do not measure the back pressure and therefore cannot guarantee the effectiveness of the cleaning;
- they do not control cracks, which can lead to pollution of other parts (the catalyst for example) and therefore significant additional costs and mission stops if the ceramic of the filter breaks;
- they do not perform total regeneration, which does not allow all the soot and mixed ash to be eradicated. Since these alternatives are not comparable to a remanufacture, the reliability of the component will not be comparable either. The same goes for the warranty.

The Reman method used by Renault Trucks is the only one that successfully passes all our validation tests, guaranteeing proper operation of the truck, optimized operating costs and customer peace of mind thanks to the 2-year parts, labor warranty. work, repair, and towing (subject to assembly by an approved repairer).
